Scarsong looked around her camp, the silver tabby kneading her claws in the sand. She was lonely...although she had her brother, Viperclaw, still sleeping beside her, the she-cat's heart longed to feel Forsakenheart's pelt beside hers, to feel his warm presence. But alas...they were to be separated, at least until his apprentice was trained...unless he chose to stay as Medicine Cat, staying with his passion of healing. This worry constantly nagged at Scarsong's heart, the un-ending and forboding curiosity...what will he choose? Who will he choose?

A small gray tabby slipped from the apprentices' den, except he appeared differently than only days before. He walked with a purposeful stride and didn't delay at anything he was doing anymore. He spoke not nearly as much as before and there was a determained glint in his eye. The young tom settled himself down next to the fresh-kill pile to munch on a seagull.
Another gray tabby slipped from her eldest son's den. Lately she had taken to sleeping in Greysun's nest since his death half a moon ago. Any of the tiredness of being an elder had been lost in her now-thick muscles. Unofficially, and unspokenly, she had come out of retirement. Of course, it's not like she was that old. She was, probably, no more than four and a half twoleg years, which wasn't that old, even for Clan cats. Stormyeyes shook a bit of moss from her fur, nodded to her youngest son, Tropicalpaw, and headed over towards the warriors' den. "Viperclaw?" she called.

Viperclaw's head jerked up, Scarsong having drifted into a doze beside him. Standing, the short tom shook his brown tabby pelt, jade eyes glinting in the sunlight. Trotting forward, he dipped his head in greeting. "Yes, Stormyeyes?" He said her name tentatively, unsure of what to call her. Stormysun?

"Tropicalpaw's mentor, Sandsong, seems to have disappeared. We haven't seen her in a while. I would like you to continue his training. He shouldn't need too much, he'll be ready to recieve his warrior name pretty soon." She gave the warrior a respectful nodd. "Scarsong?" Stormyeyes said tentively, not sure if the warrioress was awake or not.

Viperclaw dipped his head before exiting the den, calling out, "Tropicalpaw!" His voice sure and strong, jade eyes glinting in the sunlight.
Scarsong lifted her head, standing and dipping her head in greeting, amber eyes shadowed in hurt and respect, a sort of odd combination. "Yes?" She asked quietly, licking her silver pelt briefly before continuing to gaze upon her leader.

Tropicalpaw leapt to his feet, giving Viperclaw a respectful nod. "What is it?" His seagull was now laying, ignored at his paws.
"I would like to be heading to the Seastone soon. I would like you and Cloudpaw to come with. Find Forsakenheart and ask him to prepare us some herbs. We'll be leaving at sundown." Without waiting for an answer, she turned and padded out of the den, sighing as quietly as possible. It was getting difficult to pick up the shattered pieces of her Clan and put them back together, piece by piece. Cloudpaw, who had been Greysun's apprentice, was now Scarsong's and would need to go to the Seastone before she could be made a warrior.

"Follow me." He meowed, before turning and swiftly jogging out of camp, his pace sure and steady. Jade eyes were scanning the territory in front of him, before he swerved to a small clearing, with hard packed sand that wouldn't go flying...well, not too much.
"Yes, Stormyeyes." She meowed, dipping her head in respect. First, she would go and ask Forsakenheart for the herbs. Yes, that is what she would do. And so, she headed towards the Medicine Cat den, something she always enjoyed.

Stormyeyes watched the young warrior go with a sigh. She hoped the medicine cat made the right choice. Forsakenheart was, without doubt, excellent at his occupation, but, even though it was wrong, Stormyeyes didn't want to see Scarsong's heart broken.
Tropicalpaw nodded and padded after the warrior without question. The half-eaten seagull was just left there, in the middle of camp. When he saw where the warrior was leading him, Tropicalpaw's ear twitched. "Stormyeyes asked you to work on my training, didn't she?" he asked.

Viperclaw turned to face the apprentice, nodding as he meowed,
"Perhaps." A pause, and then a question.
"What do you know?" His voice was hesitant, rough, raw, something pretty usual for the tom nowadays.

"Plenty," Tropicalpaw replied bluntly. His eyes twinkled for the first time in a long time. He dropped into a crouch and, with suprising speed, rolled under the warrior, flexing his paws up into Viperclaw's belly. He stopped there, holding the position until the warrior said something.

Viperclaw leapt off of Tropicalpaw, grinning with wickedness.
"Okay. Sheath your claws, attack me. Pretend I'm the enemy..." His voice trailed off to a whisper, a deadly whisper almost, though it was all acting. His jade eyes sparkled dangerously, and his tail flicked behind him in anticipation.

Tropicalpaw nodded, rolling swiftly to his feet. His tail flicked back and forth anxiously and he stalked in a circle around the warrior, looking for a weak spot. After a moment, he lunged again, butting his chest into Viperclaw's hips, then leaping easily around his backside to his other side.

Viperclaw wasn't expecting the skilled attack and rolled onto the ground, leaping to his paws and flicking his tail behind him, nodding his head in a manner to say, 'Nice..' He then leapt at Tropicalpaw, about to hit his back before leaping onto the ground on his other side, rolling under his stomach and heaving upwards with his back paws, claws sheathed and jade eyes glittering. He had no apprentice of his own, and so he was glad that he could romp around with Tropicalpaw. With a reason, too!

Forsakenheart and Silverkit padded side by side out of camp. They looked like brother almost, with Forsakenheart's brown tabby pelt and Silverkit's grey one. The troubled medicine cat was showing the kit some basic herbs. He knew the youngster was interested in such things and quite frrankly he had a notion that Silverkit would eventually become his apprentice. "Yarrow," He mewed, nosing a small green plant with round berries, "It's good for fever, infections and severe bleeding." He looked down where a paw print had been left in the soft soil. He instantly thought of when he and Scarsong had frolicked about on the beach, leaving their pawprints in the sand. He sighed dreamily, then perked up again, "Why don't we head back to camp now?" Silverkit nodded with a smile and the pair headed back.
With a stretch and a yawn Cloudedpaw emerged from the apprentice den. Her faint tortie patterns were looking a little dirty, she noticed as she sat down to wake-up a little more. The she-cat smiled lightly, it was a perfect day to go swimming after training.

))I thought Stormeh played Silverkit...? *blinkblink*((
Tropicalpaw was sent flying, but he wagged his tail almost, rolled in the air, and landed on his feet. Then, lunging forward before the warrior could recover, he put one light paw on Viperclaw's upper belly and the other on his lower throat. He was breathing a little heavier now, but his eyes shown much brighter than back at camp.
Stormyeyes stopped Cloudpaw and trotted quickly over to her. "Cloudpaw, I've decided that you and Scarsong shall come with Forsakenheart and myself to the Seastone. I sent Scarsong to Forsakenheart's den for herbs for the both of you, but I'd still like you to eat something first. This will take you one major step closer to becoming a warrior, which it's about time you did." Without waiting for a reply, she turned and trotted towards her new den, sitting down in the sunlight. 'But, before I leave, I would like to name my deputy, and I think I know exactly who I want,' she thought.

ooc|| Nopers, I play him.
bic|| Cloudedpaw's eyes flickered with joy, "Thank you, Stormyeyes!" She chriped, grinning and purring lightly. The apprentice kneeded the ground anxiously with her paws. She was going to the Seastone! Her tail lashed around excitedly, she was so eager to go!
Forsakenheart and Silverkit re-entered the camp, each going their seperate ways. Silverkit padded towards Stormyeyes, and Forsakenheart towards his den. He arrived but turned to see Scarsong coming his way. He immediatly felt a mixture of emotions, part joy and anxiousness, part pure fear. He blushed under his rowan colored fur, "Hey."
"Stormyeyes," Silverkit dipped his head respectfully, waiting for the cat's permission to adress her.

Stormyeye's blinked out of her trance and looked down at Silverkit. "Oh, hello, Silverkit." She was silent a moment. "How old are you now? About six moons, right?" She had been surprised by the amount of respect the kit had shown her. If Forsakenheart had chosen Silverkit as his apprentice, then surely Silverkit should come along to the Seastone too...?

Scarsong whirled around and saw Forsakenheart, her heart warming at the sound of his voice. Blushing slightly, she meowed a soft and tender,
"Hello." Quickly averting her amber gaze, she coughed quietly, to cover up the tears welling in her eyes, as she meowed,
"Stormyeyes wanted you to prepare traveling herbs for her, you, me and some others...We're traveling to the Seastone." Her voice was husky as she tried not to look at him, using up all of her willpower as she entered his den and sat down, wrapping her sleek tail around her haunches.
Viperclaw heaved upwards with his hind paws and his forepaws, trying to dislodge Tropicalpaw. Panting, he rolled out from under the apprentice, grinning wickedly and meowing,
"I give...I give. Please, mercy!" He laughed and added,
"You're a great fighter!" Blushing as he realized that he had spoken more than ever, he lowered his gaze, sitting down and twitching his tail briefly, wondering what to do next.

Tropicalpaw blushed and lowered his head respectfully. "I've had plenty of time to practice. Greysun showed me a few moves too." He smiled raising his head slightly. "Sandsong would be disappointed, though. She wanted me to be an excellent hunter, but I can't hunt near as well as I can fight. I can catchs rabbits and mice, but fishing isn't my strong point and no-one ever really showed me the proper way to crab-hunt." He smiled ruefully.

Silverkit smiled, "Six and four sun-highs! Actually, I have something to say. I don't really want to be a warrior." The mature little tabby looked for signs of the cats emotion in her face.
Forsakenheart nodded, "Err, right!" He ducked into his den, snatching various herbs and piling them into one, two, three, four, five piles. "Is that enough?" he turned to Scarsong, avoiding her eyes. He couldn't look, he would get lost.

Viperclaw nodded slowly, before flicking his tail towards the little tide pools where crabs liked to roam.
"Watch this." He meowed, deliberately approaching a crab. It tried to scuttle away, but Viperclaw placed his left forepaw on top, scraping his claws along the tough shell. He quickly hooked his other claws underneath the crab, killing it by scraping its soft underside and biting its soft middle as well.
He laid down the dead crab and indicated another crab with his tail for Tropicalpaw to try and catch it.
Scarsong picked up the small packets nodded, before giving one back to Forsakenheart.
"You're to come along as well." She murmured softly, briefly looking up at gazing into his lovely chestnut eyes, instantly unable to move. Her heart fluttered in her chest, as she watched him, absent-mindedly prodding the herbs to try and not look to suspicious.

Stormyeyes said nothing for a moment. "You want to be a medicine cat, am I right?" She watched the young tom very closely.
Tropicalpaw watched with great interest and let out a cry of glee as Viperclaw killed the crab. He darted quickly over and imitated the warrior's movements on the second crab, grinning. He looked as eager as a young apprentice again, though it looked odd on his grown body. He didn't look much like an apprentice anymore...

Silverkit nodded swiftly, "Very much," he mewed, enthusiasm bursting in his eyes. "Forsakenheart has been showing me some basic herbs just for fun," he added, begining to babble and revealing his inner-kit. "Like how poppy seeds help with stress, and the berries of a red rasberry bush can help a queen if she doesn't feel so well."
Forsakenheart took the package, but lay it on the ground immediatly after. "I've made my desicion," he looked right into her eyes, voice intense but wavering. He could feel emotions bubbling up inside of him, he turned and packed an extra herb set. "I need to talk to Stormyeyes." He tore himself away from her, exiting the den and heading towards the cat.
Cloudedpaw rose, revealing her gangly legs, looking awkwards on the older apprentice. She stretched again, then went towards the fresh-kill pile for her breakfast... or lunch. She snatched up a thrush then began eagerily eating it, she wanted to be ready for her trip to the seastone.

Stormyeyes smiled. 'Now that's more like it,' she thought to herself. "Is that so?" She glanced up seeing Forsakenheart coming over. "Well there he is now! I'll talk to him, 'kay? Why don't you go talk to Cloudpaw for a little while?" She smiled sweetly to the kit, very used to dealing with kits after her own two litters. Looking up, she turned towards the medicine cat. "I would assume you've made you decision?"

Forsakenheart nodded, flicking his tail in a quick but respectful greeting. "Yes, actually I was wondering, with your permission, if I could, errrr, adress the clan so they could hear it from me." Silverkit had bounced off to talk to Cloudedpaw who had just finished her meal.
ooc|| Will there be a clan meeting soon?
